Medical weight loss is losing weight under the supervision of a doctor, with medication as a possible addition to diet and exercise. Your doctor first checks whether it suits you, follows your programme and adjusts where needed.

You usually pay for this yourself; the doctor tells you what applies in your situation. You can pause or stop at any time, with no hidden costs.

Who is this for?

Your BMI is the starting point: from BMI 30 you are eligible, from BMI 27 the doctor decides based on your situation; below 27 only in exceptional cases.

Three effects at once

How a tablet works

A tablet with a GLP-1 active ingredient mimics the hormone your gut makes after eating, which tells your brain you have had enough.

The process · click a phase

You start low and build up gradually, so your body can adjust.

Regular check-ins and small adjustments where needed.

Around week twelve you and your doctor look at whether the programme delivers what you expect.

Together you decide how to continue: carry on, taper off or change course.

How the programme unfolds

A gradual build-up, regular check-ins and a review with your doctor around week twelve. We do not promise a target weight.

How a tablet works

The tablet contains a substance that mimics GLP-1, a hormone your body makes itself. That hormone regulates your appetite and how full you feel. The medication supports you; diet and exercise remain the foundation of the programme.

A hormone your body already knows

GLP-1 is released in your gut after eating and tells your brain you have had enough. Your own GLP-1 is broken down within a few minutes, so that signal is short-lived.

The tablet holds on to that signal

The active ingredient resembles GLP-1 but is broken down much more slowly. The feeling-full signal therefore stays present: you feel less hungry, full sooner and satisfied for longer.

Every day, at a fixed time

You take the tablet daily. Your body absorbs the active ingredient less easily through the stomach, so when and how you take it matters. Your doctor explains exactly how to do that.

Weight gain during the menopause is common and has a hormonal cause. Precisely because the answer is not simply “eating less”, medical support can help: the doctor looks at your situation, your hormones and what you have already tried. Many of our patients are in this phase. What changes in your body and what you can do about it is explained in our overview of weight loss during the menopause.
